Rolling Block Black Powder Kit

Hudson Trading Post is pleased to offer a limited number of Custom Crafted muzzle loading Rolling Block Kits .  The Action is a replica Remington made originally by Star Arms of Spain. The raw actions have all parts fitted and hardened. Each kit will be made to order to your specifications as to caliber, barrel contour, wood, sights and finish.

The unique "inline" ignition makes this a superior gun. The block houses the striker and keeps the cap out of the weather. And the barrel takes down in less than a minute for cleaning.

Remington Rolling Block Replica Action

A full size action based on the Remington Rolling Block #1 action. These have never been built as guns and are not serial numbered. Each action, hammer and block  is hardened to 36-38 on the Rockwell C scale and all parts are hand fitted and fully functional. The barrel threads are metric with a major diameter of 26.93mm(1.06") X 2. This is very close to 12 TPI. This is a great way to have an excellent rolling block with out the price of an original. And it is suitable for chambering any thing the Remington can be chambered in. I have a number of these still available. They are built to order as there are two block styles (click on the two top right hand pictures for illustration) available. early style with a firing pin hole with a diameter of .120" and a pin hole that is reduced to .09"(this bushing is an additional $25.00 no mater what the selling price) The polishing is 90 percent done.
